Pampanga, Philippines (September 3, 2017) – Members Church of God International (MCGI) officially launches Truth Channel on digital terrestrial television (DTT) Sunday morning, September 3, at the Ang Dating Daan (ADD) Convention Center in Apalit, Pampanga.
With the slogan “Truth Above All”, the Truth Channel will showcase stories and relevant information associated with faith, belief and the Bible. It will also present prominent religious doctrines and controversies as well as amazing Biblical facts.
A ceremonial switch-on led by MCGI Assistant Overall Servant Bro. Daniel S. Razon and witnessed by MCGI Overall Servant Bro. Eli Soriano, marks the formal opening of the new channel which aims to intensify gospel propagation through broadcast media and alternative programming.
Truth Channel can be received initially in Mega Manila using commercially available digital television (DTV) receiver boxes including LED TV sets and mobile phones with built-in DTV tuners.

MCGI is an international Christian religious organization and the group behind the program Ang Dating Daan (The Old Path), the longest running religious program in the Philippines.
The program Ang Dating Daan started on radio in 1980 and analog television in 1983.
It is hosted by international radio and TV evangelist Bro. Eli Soriano and veteran broadcast journalist Bro. Daniel Razon.
The exclusive ceremonial switch-on led by Bro. Daniel Razon happened during MCGI’s weekly Thanksgiving of God’s People (Pasalamat ng Buong Bayan ng Dios) event in Apalit, Pampanga.
The historic event was witnessed by hundreds of thousands of brethren gathered together in more than 1,360 satellite monitoring centers across the globe.
Bro. Daniel Razon at around 11 am Philippine time, switched on the new TV channel right after an audio-visual presentation was aired showing new segments and flagship programs.
Truth Channel airs Ang Dating Daan (The Old Path) and its popular question and answer segment ‘Itanong Mo Kay Soriano, Biblia ang Sasagot (Ask Soriano, The Bible will Answer)’, ‘Truth in Focus’ and more than a dozen of new segments for the whole family.
HD Viewing Experience
Digital Terrestrial TV platform provides better viewing experience to the audience as it supports multi-channel feature, clear video and high quality audio for free and without monthly fees.
It only requires a one-time purchase of a digital box or a new TV or mobile phones with built-in DTV tuners.
Just make sure that your digital box or device supports the Integrated Services Digital Broadcasting-Terrestrial (ISDB-T), the Japanese standard for DTV adopted by the Philippines.
Truth Channel comes in high definition (HD), 1080p video quality. Video clarity is more visible if the digital box supports HDMI.
UNTV and Truth Channel digital signals can be received in Metro Manila and nearby provinces including Rizal, Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, Pampanga, Nueva Ecija and some parts of Tarlac.
For better signal reception, household viewers are advised to put their indoor antennas near open areas such as windows and elevated locations. Viewers may also purchase an outdoor UHF antenna for optimal signal strength and quality.
Truth Channel is on UHF Channel 38 (617.143 MHz), the same frequency of UNTV on DTV.
As early as 2013, UNTV already announced the network’s ongoing transition from analog to digital broadcast. The activity includes upgrading of technical equipment and studio facilities.
Truth Channel was called as ‘ADDTV’ while on test broadcast since 2014 together with its sister station UNTV News and Rescue.
UNTV and MCGI is also planning to launch its DTV service in other provinces through relay stations and other new channels.
MCGI recently launched its high definition (HD) broadcast in South America via its own channel in Brazil known as TV Verdade (Truth TV), airing O Caminho Antigo, intended for Portuguese-speaking countries. Meanwhile, TV La Verdad (Truth TV) caters to Spanish-speaking countries.
